Thomas Mack officially joined McShane Partners as a Research Analyst in June 2018 after interning with the Investment Team during the summer of 2017. In his role as a Research Analyst, Thomas works directly with and provides ongoing support to the entire Investment Team. He also works closely with the Wealth Advisory Team in the oversight and execution of client-/account-/portfolio-related tasks/responsibilities. Thomas is responsible for assisting both the Chief Investment Officer and the Director of Research in the administration, management, and coordination of the firm’s in-house proprietary investment research. In addition to conducting extensive macro- and microeconomic research, Thomas helps the Investment Team by organizing/performing in-depth equity research and fundamental analysis. Along with his research responsibilities, he assists in the preparation and execution of firm-wide trade recommendations.
Thomas is a graduate of Wake Forest University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with minors in History and Spanish. While at Wake Forest, Thomas served on Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s philanthropic committee, volunteered frequently with Samaritan Ministries, and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. He is currently pursuing the CFA charter and is a Level II candidate.
